HOW TO SLOW DOWN TIME WITH YOUR MIND: Perceptive awareness is being fully alert and living fully in the moment... It is experiencing the full moment around us and not just our little thoughts... It is being fully alive. With that kind of perceptive awareness, a moment can seem to you to last forever.

HOW TO TALK TO YOUR FUTURE SELF: Here's how to get in touch with every talent, every ability you ever wanted for yourself, even if you're convinced you don't have a shred of ability in that area.

MUSIC MAKES YOUR BRAIN HAPPY: Music activates the same parts of the brain and causes the same neurochemical cocktail as a lot of other pleasurable activities like orgasms or eating chocolate -- or if you're a gambler winning a bet or using drugs if you're a drug user.

DAVID COPPERFIELD CLAIMS TO HAVE FOUND THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH: "I've discovered a true phenomenon... You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again. ... Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they'll fly away. It's an amazing thing, very, very exciting."

HOLOGRAPHIC TIME AND THE DESIRE FOR INCREASED WEALTH: The abundance in our life is a result of our belief in an infinitely abundant universe. Our belief in infinite abundance goes hand in hand with the belief that this infinite abundance exists right now. Our belief in an abundant and giving universe results from our belief in holographic time.

How to Slow Down Time With Your Mind

By Enoch Tan

Your spirit operates outside time and space. When there is an emergency where danger is about to approach you faster than you can normally sense, your spirit will compell you to act quickly without pondering. It directs you through your instinct and reflexes. Think of a time when you moved out of harm's way in an instant and the move was so spontaneous it seems that everything just flowed in the moment. Your awareness of what was happening and your response happened without hesistation, but so quickly that it was almost together at the same time.

That is because your spirit can observe things and sense reality beyond your ordinary rate and range of awareness. Imagine that a dagger is flying towards you from the side. In ordinary rate of awareness, there is simply not enough time to notice the dagger coming and to move out of the way. But in the realm of your spirit’s awareness, time is slowed down to a crawl and it can fully perceive everything that is happening no matter how quickly. It sends the message to you and in that moment you experience the spontaneous and seemingly simultaneous knowing and action. The awareness comes just before the action but it seems that time slows almost to a standstill during that moment of thought. Perception and action become as one.

If you want to consciously perceive faster so that things don’t seem to happen so quickly, you have to slow time down in your consciousness.

It is not time that slows down but you that slows down. See in your mind’s eye and memory things slowing down. Like a picture frame frozen from a movie in motion. It is the way you experience time slowing down or stopping when you see a beautiful person of your dreams.

It would be an advantage for anyone to stop the world or at least make everything appear to move in slow motion. It would give you time to analyze the situation and the actions of everyone and everything around you. It gives you extra time to determine your actions in a pressure situation. This would would be incredibly useful in business, driving your car in traffic, playing games, military combat, sports and life threatening situations.

Be Fully Alive to This Moment

Perceptive awareness is being fully alert and living fully in the moment. It is seeing the trees bend in the wind and the way the birds circle overhead. It is sensing how the trees feel and what problems and joy the birds are experiencing. It is experiencing the full moment around us and not just our little thoughts. It is clearing the mind of future events and past replayed scenes, so you can experience the entirety of the current moment in time. It is putting yourself in the full frame picture now in front of you in relationship to everything happening around you. It is being fully alive. With that kind of perceptive awareness, a moment can seem to you to last forever.

A master baseball batter is apparently able to slow things down when he’s at the plate. To everyone else, the ball would be rocketing toward the plate at approximately 100 mph, almost faster than the eye can see. But to the focused athlete, the ball seems to slow down just for him, and present itself to him.

This is what many of the best batters have this in common. Somehow, when they need to slow things down to make their big play, they are able to perceive everything happening in slow motion. The ball rolls slowly up to the plate and is easy to see, often appearing larger than life. It’s almost as if the ball is waiting for them to hit it. To everyone else, the ball is racing to the plate at a blistering speed, curving, skinking, and breaking in waysthat make it almost impossible to track, let alone hit.

This is truly time manipulation, since the perception of the person who seems to manage this trick is that time has been stretched longer or made shorter. Since this is the perception of the magician, and becomes the way he acts upon the world, it becomes that person’s own functional reality. It’s really a consciousness shift and an expanded awareness. And yes, it is real magic as we will see.

How to Talk to Your Future Self

By Charles Burke
Author of Command More Luck

Here's how to get in touch with every talent, every ability you ever wanted for yourself, even if you're convinced you don't have a shred of ability in that area.

Physicists and mystics agree that all of time co-exists simultaneously. The way we experience time, with one moment following another moment after another moment, is (they say) an illusion. In reality, all moments of time are hanging around together, and our consciousness is threading its way through and among those moments of time.

(Just stay with me for a bit longer, and we'll be past all this theoretical stuff.)

They also say that there are an infinite number of variations of each possible moment. That's what they call "parallel universes" in the science fiction movies.

As it turns out, those parallel universes are not actually science fiction after all. They're really there-the physicists say so. We just can't usually see them.

But there is one way to perceive them. It's your intuition (or imagination).

You can actually tune your mind in to a talent you don't have, but would love to, and you can attract it to you. There is "another you" in that alternate "now" that has all the talent you wanted but didn't get.

So how do you benefit from this "other you"? How do you siphon off the abilities from the "talent gas-tank" of that other you, and get it into your mind?

The short answer is, you don't.

You don't try to take anything away from anybody. Instead, you reach out with your intuition and imagination and offer to combine your talents with those of that other you. You suggest a win-win merger that benefits you both.

Then you start training those new talents, and -- surprise -- those very talents appear from out of "nowhere" (but you'll know where).

It's simple to do a bit of "day-dreaming" and talk to other versions of yourself. How do you reach them? Just imagine it. You're always talking to that policeman or judge or parent in your head. So why not your other selves in other possible universes? Just imagine them. Talk to them. Offer to do a joint venture -- share some of what you know for some of what they can do.

And then, once you've made an agreement, just accept what comes. And enjoy it.

Charles Burke is the author of Command More Luck, a book offering powerful suggestions for getting more cooperation from life, luck, and your own mind. Whether you call it synchronicity, serendipity, or just plain old luck, you CAN become more "naturally lucky."

Music Makes Your Brain Happy

By Randy Dotinga
Source: Wired Magazine

As a rock producer, Daniel Levitin worked with Stevie Wonder, the Grateful Dead and Chris Isaak. But the music business began to change, and a disillusioned Levitin turned to academia, where a career in neuroscience beckoned.

Sixteen years after he made the switch, Levitin is an associate professor at McGill University in Montreal and one of the world's leading experts in cognitive music perception.

In his new book, This Is Your Brain on Music: The Science of a Human Obsession, Levitin explores research into how our brains process the works of artists as varied as Beethoven, the Beatles and Britney Spears, and why they make us feel so good. Wired News picks his brain about how it all works.

Wired News: Are there any myths about music that neuroscientists have exposed?

Daniel Levitin: I think we've debunked the myth of talent. It doesn't appear that there's anything like a music gene or center in the brain that Stevie Wonder has that nobody else has.

There's no evidence that (talented people) have a different brain structure or different wiring than the rest of us initially, although we do know that becoming an expert in anything -- like chess or race-car driving or journalism -- does change the brain and creates circuitry that's more efficient at doing what you're an expert at.

What there might be is a genetic or neural predisposition toward things like patience and eye-hand coordination. (On the other hand), you can be born with a physiology that gives you a pleasant-sounding voice, but that doesn't guarantee you'll have a career as a singer.

WN: What does music tell us about the brain?

Levitin: Through studies of music and the brain, we've learned to map out specific areas involved in emotion, timing and perception -- and production of sequences. They've told us how the brain deals with patterns and how it completes them when there's misinformation.

What we're learning about the part in the frontal lobe called BA47 is the most exciting. Music suggests that it's a region that helps us predict what comes next in a sequence.

WN: What have we learned about music perception from people with brain disorders or injuries?

Levitin: We've learned that musical ability is actually not one ability but a set of abilities, a dozen or more. Through brain damage, you can lose one component and not necessarily lose the others. You can lose rhythm and retain pitch, for example, that kind of thing. We see equivalents in the visual domain: People lose color perception or shape perception.

I think of the brain as a computational device: It has a bunch of little components that perform calculations on some small aspect of the problem, and another part of the brain has to stitch it all together, like a tapestry or a quilt.

WN: You write that you're more interested in the mind than the brain. What's the difference?

Levitin: The brain is a bunch of neurons, chemicals, water and blood.... The mind is the thoughts that arise from the brain. Anatomists and neuroanatomists are particularly interested in understanding how the brain is formed and how cells communicate. They're really looking at the architecture and geography of the brain....

What we're trying to do is figure out (which) parts of the brain do what and how they communicate with each other. But not simply on a level of description that discusses only neuron and cells, but one that also talks about real ideas, thoughts and memories.

WN: From an evolutionary perspective, why have humans developed music?

Levitin: There are a number of different theories. One theory is that music is an evolutionary accident, piggybacking on language: We exploited language to create music just for our own pleasure. A competing view, one that Darwin held, is that music was selected by evolution because it signals certain kinds of intellectual, physical and sexual fitness to a potential mate.

WN: How does that play out in rock 'n' roll, for example?

Levitin: (Research has shown that) if women could choose who they'd like to be impregnated by, they'd choose a rock star. There's something about the rock star's genes that is signaling creativity, flexibility of thinking, flexibility of mind and body, an ability to express and process emotions -- not to mention that (musical talent) signals that if you can waste your time on something that has no immediate impact on food-gathering and shelter, you’ve got your food-gathering and shelter taken care of.

WN: Do any animals show an appreciation for music?

Levitin: There's no evidence they do -- that birdsong is used in the same way we (use it, for instance, or) that animals use it for recreation. And some of the fundamental things we take for granted about music don't exist in the animal kingdom.

WN: What are we learning about the link between music and emotion in the brain?

Levitin: Music activates the same parts of the brain and causes the same neurochemical cocktail as a lot of other pleasurable activities like orgasms or eating chocolate -- or if you're a gambler winning a bet or using drugs if you're a drug user. Serotonin and dopamine are both involved.

WN: Could music be an antidepressant?

Levitin: It is already -- most people in Western society use music to regulate moods, whether it's playing something peppy in the morning or something soothing at the end of a hard day, or something that will motivate them to exercise. Joni Mitchell told me that someone once said before there was Prozac, there was her.

WN: What is an earworm, and what doctor do I see if I get one?

Levitin: It's the name the Germans give to these songs that get stuck in your head that you can't get rid of. If they're really bothersome, you can do what Neil Young told me: Become a professional songwriter. He writes songs to get them out of his head.

Failing that, the second thing you can do is go to a doctor and have them prescribe an antidepressant or anti-anxiety drug like Prozac or Ativan. Or the most common option, find an equally annoying song that’s not bothering you right now, and it will replace the earworm with another one.

David Copperfield Claims to have found 'Fountain of Youth'

By Jane Sutton
Source:

The man who made the Statue of Liberty appear to vanish may soon claim to do the same for unsightly bags and wrinkles.

Master illusionist David Copperfield says he has found the "Fountain of Youth" in the southern Bahamas, amid a cluster of four tiny islands he recently bought for $50 million (26.4 million pounds).

One of his islands in the Exuma chain, Musha Cay, is a private resort that rents for up to $300,000 a week and the other islands serve as buffers to keep prying eyes away from celebrity guests on the white sand beaches.

Copperfield is coy about his reasons for the Fountain of Youth claim, but the man best known for entertaining with grand deception insists his archipelago also contains the legendary waters that bestow perpetual youth. Seriously.

"I've discovered a true phenomenon," he told Reuters in a telephone interview. "You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again. ... Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they'll fly away. It's an amazing thing, very, very exciting."

Copperfield, who turns 50 next month, said he had hired biologists and geologists to examine its potential effect on humans but he's not inviting visitors to swim in or drink from it just yet.

Holograhic Time and the Desire for Increased Wealth

By Christopher Westra,
Author of I Create Reality

"The desire for increase in inherent in all nature; it is the fundamental impulse of the universe. Man instinctively knows this, and therefore he is always seeking more. This law of perpetual increase is set forth by Jesus in the parable of the talents: Only those who gain more retain any; from him who has not shall be taken away even that which he has. The normal desire for increased wealth is not an evil or a reprehensible thing. It is simply the desire for more abundant life. It is aspiration. And because it is the deepest instinct of their natures, all men and women are attracted to those who can give them more of the means of life."

Wallace Wattles – The Science of Getting Rich

The Natural Desire for Increase

We all desire to have more of the good things of life. When you accept this truth, wonderful blessings will flow into your world.

Many of us have been taught to deny this desire, and thus we fight inside ourselves. A part of us wants increased life and wealth, and yet a part of us tells us this is wrong and bad.

When fragmented in this way, we can’t manifest the abundance that is possible for us.

The universe wants to manifest wealth for us as much as we want wealth for ourselves and our loved ones. We have to believe in an abundant universe and not a universe of scarcity!

Jesus said in John 10:10 that he came to earth that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly. In addition to the Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles wrote some other books also, including a book about Jesus Christ and the abundant life.

The Teachings of Jesus and the Natural Desire for Wealth

Tony Mase is a friend who has, like myself, found great benefit in the books by Wallace Wattles. In fact, he has taken it upon himself to search out some of his “forgotten” books and bring them to the world. After many years, he found a copy of his book about Jesus.

Here is a link to Jesus, The Man and His Work. I bought the book and read it and it definitely helped me overcome some of my religious misunderstandings about increased wealth.

Here is what Tony says about the book:

“If you're confused by what you've read or heard about Jesus and His teachings... or if your heart is telling you one thing while orthodox churches and organized religions are telling you another... or if you're having trouble reconciling your desire for wealth and success with your religious beliefs... then please read this message very carefully. It might be the most important information you read all year. It may well be the most important information you'll ever read!”

How Holographic Time Brings Increase Into Our Lives

The lack of abundance in our life is only a result of our belief in scarcity. Our belief in scarcity results from our belief in a future in which there will never be enough. Our belief in a scarce and fearful future results from our belief in linear time.

Did Jesus teach us to fear for the future? No, he taught that we should trust and that all would be taken care of. So let’s turn around the paragraph above – until it reads:

The abundance in our life is a result of our belief in an infinitely abundant universe. Our belief in infinite abundance goes hand in hand with the belief that this infinite abundance exists right now. Our belief in an abundant and giving universe results from our belief in holographic time.

Remember that we live in holographic time when we experience holographic consciousness – whole and complete at all times! A hologram is always whole and complete and cannot be fragmented.

One side benefit of living in holographic consciousness is the feeling of complete safety and security. You can’t fear the future when it doesn’t exist!

I never realized how much fear I lived in until I truly came to understand holographic time, and the power of the present moment. It feels good not to worry and fear about tomorrow.

Increased Life and Abundance for All People

In this infinitely abundant universe, there is enough for all. You never need to take away from another in order to get what you want for yourself or your family. Manifesting abundance doesn’t work for those who try to take from others.

Move away from the competitive model and into the creative model of wealth creation. There is literally no scarcity of any good thing in the universe.
The very idea of scarcity and competition for scarce resources is a function of living in linear time. Be whole and complete in each holographic moment and let the infinitely abundant universe manifest in your life!
