THE FUTURE OF TELEPATHY:
In the future, we will be able to read each other's minds... At first, this technology will be very simple and only allow a limited vocabulary, and it requires no implants or surgery, just some electrodes placed on the head, perhaps in a hood or even a baseball cap, connected to a mobile phone.

KARMA OF THE BRAIN: WHY GOOD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE: New research suggests that doing good deeds can actually help people live longer, healthier lives... "The remarkable bottom line of the science of love is that giving protects overall health twice as much as Aspirin protects against heart disease."

HOW TO SLOW DOWN TIME WITH YOUR MIND: Perceptive awareness is being fully alert and living fully in the moment... It is clearing the mind of future events and past replayed scenes, so you can experience the entirety of the current moment in time... It is being fully alive. With that kind of perceptive awareness, a moment can seem to you to last forever.

DO GUT FEELINGS PREDICT THE FUTURE? Do some of us avoid tragedy by foreseeing it? Some scientists now believe that the brain really can predict events before they happen.

DO ANIMALS HAVE TELEPATHY? Traditional scientists remain skeptical about psychic abilities among people -- let alone pets. They say much of the phenomenon can be explained in other ways, through pets' acute senses of hearing and smell, reading human body language, or noting other cues.

The Future of Telepathy

By Vexen Crabtree

In the future, we will be able to read each other's minds. It will be like making and receiving a phone call. At first, this technology will be very simple and only allow a limited vocabulary, and it requires no implants or surgery, just some electrodes placed on the head, perhaps in a hood or even a baseball cap, connected to a mobile phone. How will this come to be? Let's see.

An important introduction is to look at what is old, and already possible. People who are disabled and highly immobile have a few technological devices available to control computers in order for them to communicate. For example, measuring a persons eye movement or measuring the activity in nerve endings across a limb. The data is passed to a computer, so that the user can tell the computer what to do.

But neither of these are as nifty as the electroencephalnon graphs that doctors use. These are clunky, awkward headsets that are worn whilst neurologists examine brain wave activity. We can only 'see' general areas of excitement in the brain, and it is impossible to follow trains of thought, ideas, language or complex thoughts. We can only see, in general, what types of things are going on. We can tell if a person is asleep, thinking hard, or using various generic systems in the brain. This is because we can read neurons en masse.

But, using a much simpler technique with just a few electrodes, we will be able to develop technology that results, practically speaking, in telepathy.

Karma of the Brain: Why Good Things Happen to Good People

By Siri Agrell

The Globe and Mail

What if your doctor told you to take two steps toward being a better person and call him in the morning?

Patients at a California health maintenance organization are being prescribed generous behaviour as part of a program called Rx: Volunteer, one of various new research projects described by Stephen Post in his book Why Good Things Happen To Good People, out next week. Dr. Post chronicles the link between doing good and living a longer, healthier life.

"The science shows that we're hardwired to be giving," he says. "We're talking here about a one-a-day vitamin for the soul."

A growing number of researchers are supporting his claim with studies that show how the human body benefits from everything from gratitude to generosity.

Dr. Post, the president of Case Western Reserve University's Institute for Research on Unlimited Love, believes in the scientific equivalent to The Secret, the self-help phenomenon that preaches positivity as a means to personal reward.

No, being a good person won't necessarily get you a new car or help you lose 10 pounds, Dr. Post says, but there is a karma of the brain, where the body physically rewards acts of kindness and forgiveness.

"The remarkable bottom line of the science of love is that giving protects overall health twice as much as Aspirin protects against heart disease," he says.

How to Slow Down Time With Your Mind

By Enoch Tan
Author of Manifestation Keys

Your spirit operates outside time and space. When there is an emergency where danger is about to approach you faster than you can normally sense, your spirit will compell you to act quickly without pondering. It directs you through your instinct and reflexes. Think of a time when you moved out of harm's way in an instant and the move was so spontaneous it seems that everything just flowed in the moment. Your awareness of what was happening and your response happened without hesistation, but so quickly that it was almost together at the same time.

That is because your spirit can observe things and sense reality beyond your ordinary rate and range of awareness. Imagine that a dagger is flying towards you from the side. In ordinary rate of awareness, there is simply not enough time to notice the dagger coming and to move out of the way. But in the realm of your spirit’s awareness, time is slowed down to a crawl and it can fully perceive everything that is happening no matter how quickly. It sends the message to you and in that moment you experience the spontaneous and seemingly simultaneous knowing and action. The awareness comes just before the action but it seems that time slows almost to a standstill during that moment of thought. Perception and action become as one.

If you want to consciously perceive faster so that things don’t seem to happen so quickly, you have to slow time down in your consciousness.

It is not time that slows down but you that slows down. See in your mind’s eye and memory things slowing down. Like a picture frame frozen from a movie in motion. It is the way you experience time slowing down or stopping when you see a beautiful person of your dreams.

It would be an advantage for anyone to stop the world or at least make everything appear to move in slow motion. It would give you time to analyze the situation and the actions of everyone and everything around you. It gives you extra time to determine your actions in a pressure situation. This would would be incredibly useful in business, driving your car in traffic, playing games, military combat, sports and life threatening situations.

Do Gut Feelings Predict the Future?

Do some of us avoid tragedy by foreseeing it? Some scientists now believe that the brain really CAN predict events before they happen.

Source: The Daily Mail

Professor Dick Bierman sits hunched over his computer in a darkened room. The gentle whirring of machinery can be heard faintly in the background.

He smiles and presses a grubby-looking red button.

In the next room, a patient slips slowly inside a hospital brain scanner. If it wasn't for the strange smiles and grimaces that flicker across the woman's face, you could be forgiven for thinking this was just a normal health check.

But this scanner is engaged in one of the most profound paranormal experiments of all time, one that may well prove whether or not it is possible to predict the future.

For the results - released exclusively to the Daily Mail - suggest that ordinary people really do have a sixth sense that can help them 'see' the future.

Such amazing studies - if verified - might help explain the predictive powers of mediums and a range of other psychic phenomena such Extra Sensory Perception, deja vu and clairvoyance. On a more mundane level, it may account for 'gut feelings' and instinct.

The man behind the experiments is certainly convinced. "We're satisfied that people can sense the future before it happens," says Professor Bierman, a psychologist at the University of Amsterdam.

Do Animals Have Telepathy?

Source: Herald News Online

A cat disappears when her owners go on vacation each year, yet arrives back at the house right before they return.

A man sits on the couch, his dog alseep in the next room. He thinks, "I should take Daisy for a walk," and suddenly his dog comes bounding in the room, leash in mouth.

A cat curls up next to the phone just before a family member calls, but never when anyone else is about to call. These stories are told by many pet owners from all over the world.

Most dogs and cats are attuned to their owners and learn their patterns, read their body language and anticipate what's going to happen next.

But there are so many stories of pets seeming to know more than their natural senses would allow that it has been the subject of study and debate for years. Are their natural senses even greater than we ever imagined? Or do they have a sixth sense?

Biologist Rupert Sheldrake, author of "Dogs That Know When Their Owner is Coming Home," believes that animals have perceptive abilities of telepathy and premonitions. Veterinarian and author Dr. Allan Schoen says in his book, "Kindred Spirits," that people and animals are intimately connected. Pets whom we feel especially close to seem to understand our needs, read our moods, and even communicate with us on a level that transcends words or body language.

Can pets be so connected and attuned to their owners when they are far apart, even when there is no possible way they could be using their sense of smell or hearing?
