Since we all do it, for sure you've heard the term daydreaming.

"Daydreaming is a short-term detachment from one's immediate surroundings, during which a person's contact with reality is blurred and partially substituted by a visionary fantasy, especially one of happy, pleasant thoughts, hopes or ambitions."

Now, you've also might have heard the term visualization.

What's the difference between these two - and why does it matter?

Visualization techniques are being used not only by yogis, personal growth junkies or people who believe in the Law of Attraction, but also by the top performers in the world: leading athletes, entrepreneurs, actors, singers and politicians.

On top of that, they are also being commonly used by therapists in various types of treatments.

As you can see, visualization is very intentional and has a practical purpose - to help you achieve your goals.

Daydreaming is more random and just happens to you when you get triggered. For example, you see a picture of a tropical island, and you start fantasizing about enjoying holidays there with your dream partner.

According to the Law of Attraction, visualization techniques would help you make this tropical fantasy come true.
